City Centre Bin Hubs - give us your views

Jo Mowat Communal Bins

Many residents have contacted Edinburgh City Centre Councillor Jo Mowat regarding upcoming changes to bin collections and the installation of bin hubs in the New Town.

Earlier this year SNP, Labour and Green members of the Transport and Environment Committee voted to get rid of gull proof sacks and blue/red recycling boxes in favour of “enhanced communal bin collections”. Jo shares residents’ concerns about this decision and is keen to hear your views below.

Jo said, "The most frequent question I have been asked is why councillors would vote to get rid of a system that works to replace it with one that causes the most complaints."

Unlike the Council, Jo is eager to hear your views on this matter so please do fill in the online survey below.
